So you may be wondering... What exactly is a faulty cat?
Faulty is defined as "not working or made correctly; having defects" which is exactly what these kitties are! Their bodies are not working as they should be due to illnesses, injuries and even being born with parts missing or parts that don't work properly! Does this mean they are any less deserving of love? Absolutely not! These kitties are often the sweetest & most affectionate ones around! It does mean that helping them costs rescues a hell of a lot more than other cats. They need extra vet appointments, testing, medications, surgeries, specialist appointments... The list goes on!! We have first hand experience in helping these faulty cats and know how quickly the vet bills for them can sky rocket which is why we started TFCF! We will post some examples of recent cases that we have personally dealt with that inspired us to do something to help take the pressure off of rescues!
